At the Aachen Colloquium Nebojsa Milovanovic, the Senior Engineering Manager at JM Battery Systems UK, will be presenting a selection of our work. The aim of the paper is to present the design and development of innovative modular battery systems for use in the above mentioned applications for the sport, passenger cars and commercial vehicles. The system is optimised for each of the applications and vehicle segment through a holistic approach starting from the basic cell electro-chemistry through module and pack engineering to battery management system implementation ultimately creating a fully operational battery system. The battery system is also scalable providing the optimum packaging space and use of common parts across applications.
